The role of Library Assistant with us

As a Library Assistant in Kungsbacka, you will be an important part of a creative and engaged team.

Together, you will work to make the library an open, inspiring, and inclusive place where everyone has the opportunity to explore, learn, and meet. We offer a thorough introduction to library work.

In your role, you will:

• Meet residents of all ages and help them find the right information and literature.
• Create engaging events and activities that strengthen the library's role as an arena for dialogue and culture.
• Support residents in navigating the digital world, from information searching to source criticism.
• Build networks and create collaborations outside the library's walls to strengthen the library as a central part of the community.

Your profile

You put the visitor at the center and are passionate about service and a good reception, which means you always strive to create a positive experience for those visiting the library. You are also flexible and thrive in a fast-paced environment, where you see change as an exciting opportunity to develop and improve operations. Additionally, you are creative and innovative, with a willingness to try new working methods and develop the library's operations in innovative and effective ways. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a relevant higher education, for example in library and information science, journalism, literary studies, or pedagogy.
• Has a C driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in library work.
